Are you an experienced HR Advisor who enjoys variety, building relationships and making a real difference?
We are looking for a proactive, approachable and confident HR Advisor to join our HR team at Dynex Semiconductor Ltd.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR professional who enjoys working in a busy, hands-on generalist role, where no two days are quite the same.
You will play a key role in supporting managers and employees across the business, providing practical HR advice, managing employee relations matters and helping us continually improve our people practices.
We are looking for someone who can balance the needs of the business with a fair, consistent and people-focused approach.
What will you be doing?
Working closely with our Chief HR Officer, the HR Team, managers and employees, you will be involved in a wide range of HR activities, including:
- Employee Relations: Providing practical advice and guidance on a variety of HR matters, including absence management, disciplinary, grievance, performance and capability issues. You will also take the lead on complex employee relations cases.
- Coaching and Supporting Managers: Building strong working relationships with managers, helping them confidently manage their teams and delivering training and workshops on HR policies and good people management practices.
- Recruitment and Onboarding: Managing the recruitment process from advertising vacancies and supporting interviews through to offers, onboarding and induction.
- HR Systems and Reporting: Maintaining accurate employee records, supporting managers with our HR and time and attendance systems, and producing meaningful HR reports and management information.
- Policies and Employment Law: Keeping up to date with employment legislation, reviewing and updating HR policies and ensuring our practices remain fair, consistent and compliant.
- Employee Wellbeing and Engagement: Supporting initiatives that promote employee wellbeing, engagement and a positive working environment.
- Learning and Development: Supporting training and development activities, including coordinating our annual apprenticeship recruitment.
- HR Projects and Continuous Improvement: Getting involved in a variety of projects, identifying opportunities to improve processes and helping to make HR services more effective and efficient.
You will also support key annual activities such as salary reviews, performance management, employee benefits and internal communications.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who is comfortable managing a varied workload, can work independently and enjoys building positive relationships across all levels of a business.
Essential experience and skills:
- Around three years' experience in a generalist HR role, ideally within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Experience advising managers on employee relations matters, including complex disciplinary and grievance cases.
- Good working knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
- Experience managing recruitment activities.
- Experience contributing to HR projects and improving processes.
- Confident using Microsoft Office and HR systems.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively to deadlines.
- CIPD Level 3 qualification or above.
Just as importantly, you will be someone who:
- Is approachable, professional and able to build trust with managers and employees.
- Has the confidence to challenge constructively and influence decisions.
- Demonstrates fairness, consistency and sound judgement.
- Handles sensitive and confidential matters with discretion and compassion.
- Is organised, proactive and comfortable taking ownership of their work.
- Enjoys finding solutions rather than simply identifying problems.
- Has a genuine interest in people and making a positive contribution to the workplace.
Why join Dynex?
At Dynex Semiconductor, you will be part of a specialist manufacturing business where your contribution really matters.
This is a varied and rewarding role, offering the opportunity to work closely with colleagues across the business, develop your HR expertise and have a genuine influence on how we support and manage our people.
If you are looking for a role where you can use your experience, take ownership and make a difference, we would love to hear from you.
